COMMITMENT

Performers will depart for Zhuhai, China on or around January 20, 2020. The shows will be at Chimelong Theater in Zhuhai, China which is near Guangzhou where performers will fly into and Zhuahai is about 15 minutes Macau.

The performance team will NOT be branded using any currently operating dunk team name. There will be 8 members on the team with 6 members performing in each show, leaving 2 members with off-time  Each member will receive 2 days off per 8 day cycle or 8 days off for each 32 days. This will be adjusted during holidays and or festivals where more daily shows are performed and every member may be expected to work with rotating shows instead of rotating days.

One show is scheduled daily. During weekends and holidays, more shows may be scheduled but never more than 3 in one day. Some shows may be in the adjoining theme park as part of a basketball promotion. These shows will be considered extra shows and will be performed by the performers scheduled to work that day.

There will be 5-10 days of rehearsal with no pay. Unfortunately, it is not unusual for the "circus" industry to require rehearsal and pay little to nothing for performers time.  It is to everyone's advantage to show up in Zhuhai ready to perform and this will reduce rehearsal time.

There may be an advance provided for each performer in local currency. Put some thought into what you think you will require. You may look up conversion rates from US Dollars to Yuan (¥) or RMB here.

You may also review what food and other things cost in Zhuhai here.

During rehearsal a 5 minute dunk show will be created that will be inserted into the overall production. Current acts in the show include contortionists, jugglers, freestyle motocross, russian bar, aerial silk and others.

The producers are leaning toward an African themed costume for us. They reserve final say on what the costume will be.

REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS

A dunk show is comprised of 3 basic things: Passes, Dunks and Finishes (PDF).

There are two types of passes:

Starting pass - The first pass that starts the dunk series

Middle passes - The passes that lead up to the Finish

Passes are generally bounced off the ground, tossed into the air or thrown off the backboard (the glass) to the receiving teammate who will either catch and execute another pass or catch and finish with a dunk or catch and execute a combo then Finish with a dunk.

Dunks are solo dunks with no passes.

Finishes are dunks executed after catching the ball from a pass.

Download the DUNK WARRIOR pay schedule to review requirements and the pay level they are linked to.

Each performer must be able to pass a drug test (marijuana, cocaine, heroin and others) and an STD test (HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis & others)

Contract will require performers to undergo physical examination in China to identify any health abnormalities from ligament/orthopedic fails to STD's. Any abnormalities will be deemed disqualifying.

The breakdown

Time is money and doing what you love and loving what you do is like paying yourself in both time and money. It adds time to your life by reducing debilitating stress, it enriches you emotionally and creates space for innovation, compassion and peace.

As a performer, candidates will be compensated in both time and money. $3000US/month earned by trading 40 hours and your expertise is far different proposition than $3000US/month earned by trading 160 hours and your expertise.

If you are making $3000US/month right now and you are trading more than 80 hours in a month to get paid that much, this opportunity might be worth looking at.

If you are juggling 3-4 gigs to make ends meet, this opportunity might be worth looking at.

If you are at a place in your life where you need a change, maybe some adventure, this opportunity might be worth looking at.

If you recognize the value of spending 80 hours or less in a month to create at least $3000US and how that frees up time in your life to pursue other interests then this is the opportunity for you.

This opportunity is for a 5 minute show once per day  with possible extra shows during holidays and some weekends with 2 days off each 8 day cycle. Counting only the time spent performing (5 minutes/day during the week and 15 minutes on the weekends) a performer would spend 240 minutes every 32 days "working".

That 240 minutes does not count the 8 days off each performer gets every 32 days so assuming those 8 days are weekdays, that reduces the total time worked to 200 minutes.

This is an extreme example:

25 shows/month at 5 minutes long = 125 minutes

$3000 ÷ 125 minutes = $24/minute

$24/minute x 60 minutes = $1440/hour

See the additional example below that takes into consideration that each 5 minute show may require 2 hours of your time

FOR 40 SHOWS

Let's say you spend 2 hours for each show (to allow for call time and a cast bow at the end):

40 shows at 120 minutes = 4800 minutes

$3000 ÷ 4800 minutes = 62.5 cents/minute

62.5 cents/minute x 60 minutes = $37.5/hour

FOR 25 SHOWS

25 shows/month at 5 minutes long = 125 minutes

$3000 ÷ 125 minutes = $24/minute

$24/minute x 60 minutes = $1440/hour

Let's say you spend 2 hours for each show (to allow for call time and a cast bow at the end):

25 shows at 120 minutes = 3000 minutes

$3000 ÷ 3000 minutes = $1/minute

$1/minute x 60 minutes = $60/hour

Another way to look at it:

$3000 ÷ 40 shows = $75/show

or

$3000 ÷ 25 shows = $120/show
